Pujya shri Kanshi Ram Ji Maharaj

Revered Pujya Shri Kanshi Ram Ji Maharaj was a great soul of 19th and 20th century of India, who spearheaded teh social cause to uplift the society from the shackes of ignorant orthodoxu.

Pujya Ji was the torch bearer who emphasised that education is the enlightement of one's soul. Pujyaji travelled all over India and propagated the principles of Lord Mahavira, giving the slogan Kam Khao, Gam Khao, Nam Jao.

His earnest belief was that pracice of this principle is the essence of life. He was touched by the pathetic state of women and worked for their upliftment. He propagated education for women a century ago and thus encouraged grils' education.

Keeping in mind the keen desire of Pujya Shri Kanshi Ramji Maharaj, PKR Jain Girls school was established in Ambala in the year 1950. To deal with the technological and modern changes in the society, the Managing Committee with the benign blessing of Shri Pujyaji opened another school by the name PKR Jain Public School in the year 1988. Now blending tradition with modernity, another branch of this colossal tree of knowledge is being started as PKR Jain Vatika - A day Boarding from April 2005, where classroom teaching will be supplemented with computer aids.

PKR Jain Vatika shall always endeavour to keep the preachings of Revered Pujyaji and shall always very sincerely uptake the kindling of these sparks of knowledge earnestly to the society.


OUR MISSION
Our aim is to prepare students in such a manner as to make them globally acceptable in all walks of the life. We believe that the purpose of education is not just to teach books to the children rather to educate them in a manner that enriches their life with the diet of good culture, smartness, knowledge and awareness. We envisage growth of children with a definite objective of achievement in life. The school organizes many activities throughout the year where qualities such as leadership and self discipline are inculcated and there is an emphasis on intellectual and emotional growth of students.

The School corridors not only the cognitive development of its students but also the other aspects of their personality as equally significant to be developed or nurtured.

We believe that a natural spontaneous expression of creative feelings will facilitate a child’s social development and excel in formal education balancing and encouraging their creative interest, we make available I.T. Lab , Library, activity center, Music Room etc.
